The book never really delves into how man lives in the jungle. It is a rather fascinating subject as these hairless primates thrive in the wild. They are quite sensual creatures as they are constantly mating.
As to above maybe the young males reaching adult age and challenging their fathers for sexual rights to the females, relatives included? Another possible idea would be the life of a female from conception to old age, from learning how to survive as a youngster to starting her own family, to acting as a matron to her group.
